The domain name I want is taken. What can I do? 

If the domain name you want has already been registered and you’re unable to find a suitable alternative using our domain tool, you have a couple of options to explore.

One option is to use our domain name lookup tool to find out when the domain name could be deleted if the current registrant chooses not to renew. You may even find upon searching the domain name it is already ‘pending deletion’ and is due to be released and will “drop” soon. Alternatively, if you are able to find out who owns the domain name, you could try to get in touch with them and offer to purchase the domain name. Before contacting them however, we would suggest you do your research and check how the domain name is being used, and if it is associated with brand identity. This will influence whether the owner is likely to be open to offers.
